Description
Plainstalkers are the scouts of the horde, large hemicyons who exhibit a skill for tracking and pathfinding. Hunters and explorers, they forsake the metal armour of other warriors and will instead make use of boiled leather and animal hides to protect themselves. They are an exception to the general rule that hemicyons have about using bows in combat and feel no compunction about killing an enemy with an arrow. This is perhaps because they see battle as no different from a hunt and find no dishonour in being expedient in war.
The most vicious of the hemicyons are those delegated into 'wildfang' packs. Exhibiting almost feral traits, wildfangs are remarkable in size, strength, and savagery. They eschew any sort of armour, plunging into battle adorned only with talismans of tooth and bone. They use only their own claws against their enemies, shredding flesh and armour with brute force. A wildfang pack can cover ground at great speed, and the sight of their ferocious charges is often the last thing their enemies see.
