Events/Organised Play: Code of Conduct

  • No outside meals allowed/Small snacks ok provided play space is kept tidy/Water other drinks OK.  Please be aware of spillage.
  • Please keep play area clean and tidy.  Please use rubbish in bins provided
  • Clean Clothing and Shoes must be worn at all times.  Please take care of personal hygiene.
  • While Gap Games Event/Organised Play Staff have Valid "Working with Children" Blue Cards, we are not a child drop-off/minding service.  Children under 16 or people with special needs must be accompanied by a Guardian/Carer or other Adult.  
  • Personal Property is bought in at owners risk. Gap Games does not accept any responsibility for lost, damaged, or stolen property.
  • Please contact us in advance of Event/Organised Play time should additional requirements be needed.  E.g. Mobility.
  • Gap Games reserve the right to refuse entry or ask for people to leave at any time.  This is usually be in response to breach of Conditions of Entry or Rules of Play
Gap Games Code of Conduct.
Please make sure to familiarise yourself with our code of conduct.  This helps to create a fun environment for everybody.  After all we are playing games!!  Agreeance to these terms is a condition of play at Gap Games
Have fun and be nice!
Games are meant to be fun for all.  Keep your voice down, be nice to everyone you play with.  Playing at Gap Games is a privilege (not a right).  Any negative comments towards Gap Games Staff or other players, will not be tolerated and that person will be asked to leave (and potentially banned from the Gap Games Store)
We are a gaming community:
Be your best.  Please report any negative behaviour immediately to a Gap Games staff member.  As we take negative behaviour seriously, this will be taken in confidence and acted up immediately.  We are 100% focused on everyone being comfortable in our Gaming Space.
Respect the Rules but most importantly the judge:
Gap Games staff will have the final say on rules and decisions for any Games Systems we support.
Behaviour:
We will not tolerate rude or illegal behaviour.  Alcohol, Drugs are not permitted instore and seemingly acting under the influence of these products will be asked to leave and/or reported to local authorities.
Please note:
The following is a list of general behaviours that are not tolerated in the Gap Games Event Space.  This list is not exhaustive and is to be referred to for general guidance on unacceptable behaviours.
Slurs based on gender, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, and disability.
"Slurs are an insinuation or allegation about someone that is likely to insult them or damage their reputation."
Verbal, physical, psychological or sexual harassment.
"Verbal harassment is the use of speech, written words, or communication to intentionally intimidate, degrade, humiliate, or threaten another person"
"Physical harassment is any unwanted, offensive, or threatening physical contact, aggression, or gesture that creates an intimidating or hostile environment"
"Mental harassment, also known as psychological or emotional abuse, involves repeated, intentional actions or words designed to threaten, belittle, manipulate, or isolate someone"
"Sexual harassment is any unwelcome conduct of a sexual nature that makes a person feel offended, humiliated, or intimidated, where a reasonable person would anticipate that reaction"
