Oathmark - Vampire

According to some, vampires are the remnants of an earlier age – predating even the great empires. Others claim they are a type of spirit, an embodiment of evil.
Whatever the truth of the matter, these rare creatures haunt some of the most ancient crypts found underneath the Marches. There, they dwell – sometimes for centuries at a time – engaging in their personal studies and experimentation, emerging only when necessary to hunt for fresh blood. While vampires consider themselves above any petty king or warlord, they do sometimes form a temporary alliance with one. While these creatures are powerful allies, their price is generally quite steep; it is a lucky king who lives long enough to regret working with them.
