What's O.L.D. is N.E.W. (W.O.I.N.) is the system powering three gorgeous, crunchy, compatible roleplaying games - medieval fantasy, 80s action heroes, and far-future science fiction. These games are called O.L.D., N.O.W., and N.E.W., respectively, and are all open (as in open gaming content) and entirely compatible with each other. Designed from the start as a toolkit-oriented game system, you are encouraged to design your own content using the extensive guidelines found in each book.

The N.O.W. Modern Action Roleplaying Game includes almost 250 pages of rules and content that allow you to create and run adventures in any sci-fi setting!

• The W.O.I.N. rules use a life-path system for character generation, d6 dice pools for task resolution, a freeform verb-noun magic system, and hex-based starship combat rules influenced by the best that the 1980s had to offer but updated to modern sensibilities.

• Four heritages and dozens of careers - from lawyers to ninjas - allow you to create myriad modern characters with a fun, intuitive life-path system.
• A wide variety of modern equipment, from famous weapons of WWII to high-tech secret agent gadgets, gives you a chance to drive an Aston Martin DB5, brandish a .44 Magnum, or use an experimental jetpack.
• Rather than including a setting itself, N.O.W.  is very much pitched as a toolkit full of rules and guidelines that help you create your own setting or model your favourite action TV show or movie. To that end, a full quarter of the book is devoted to worldbuilding.
