The Mercenaries box includes 8 high-quality, fully assembled BattleMechs, along with 4 vehicles of the same quality. It also includes a primer on the BattleTech universe, rulebook, punch-out tokens, game maps, pilot cards, and Battlefield Support cards. Fully revised Battlefield Support rules offer quick and easy ways to bring the flavor of combined arms tactics, vehicles, aerospace strikes, artillery, and minefields - to your tabletop, without slowing down the action. Finally, the box includes a campaign allowing you to build your own mercenary experience in any BattleTech Era. The BattleTech: Mercenaries Box Set is a supplement to the BattleTech: A Game of Armored Combat Box, which is required to use this set.

This Limited Edition version of the Box Set comes with an alternative box made of faux-carbon fiber material with a red embossed chevron.
