Description
To the sound of rasping carynx horns and wild cries, the elite infantry of the Dacian army would surge forward against their invading Roman foe, intimidating them with their wild barbarian appearance and fierce countenance.
Marking them out as warriors of a higher rank or caste, Dacian noblemen wore felt Phrygian caps. Being of higher social status, Nobles would be better equipped than their countrymen, with chainmail, helmets and more ornate weaponry being the norm.
These tough warriors were eager to close with their hated enemy and punish them for trespassing into their homeland.
