Evil genius to the Silver Shroud’s mysterious vigilante. Would be the protector of a small, giant ant-riddled town. Dubious robot creating tinkerer. Mastermind or misunderstood hero. The Mechanist is all these and more.
Leaping from the pages of comic books and pre-war radio dramas, the Mechanist has come in many forms over the years. For the most part, wastelanders have taken on the mantle as an escape from other problems or interact with lower perception AI threats, however, a few individuals have embraced the role wholeheartedly. Combined with a working knowledge of robot construction, they can fully take on the position and become the mechanical leader they aspire to be.
The most recent incarnation of the Mechanist started with lofty ideals of saving the wasteland from raiders and mutants. Things seem to have gone awry, but it’s hard to fault the efficiency of her robots in combat…
One thing’s for certain, if you see the Mechanist’s by their iconic armor or hear their metallic voice, an army of mechanical monsters is never far behind.
