A.MIG-7333 Matt Shader Set Ocean Tones
This set of three blue-toned Matt Shaders is specifically developed to add depth, tonal variation, and natural realism to water features in dioramas perfect for simulating oceans, lakes, rivers, and coastal elements. The set includes Turquoise, Sky Blue, and Ultra Blue each carefully selected to create transparent shading effects and subtle colour shifts across marine environments.
These matte and transparent acrylic paints deliver the intensity and finish of inks, but with greater durability. Unlike traditional inks, they become water-resistant once fully cured, yet can still be adjusted or removed with water while they remain touch-dry. Their dead matt finish is ideal for shading panel lines, creating streaking effects, or even tinting base coats to simulate faded or weathered surfaces.
Use with an airbrush to apply thin layers, soft transitions, or detailed patterns. For even greater transparency, dilute with A.MIG-2000 Acrylic Thinner, A.MIG-2016/2017 Transparator, or A.MIG-2042/2043 Transparator Matt. For best results, apply over a matte surface at 1.5 kg/cm² (21 psi) and let each layer dry for 12 hours or seal with matt varnish before continuing.
Once fully dry (within 24 hours), the finish is tough enough to handle varnishing or further weathering layers. Avoid handling the surface before curing to prevent scratches or marks.
