Conquest - Weaver Courts: Gallowglass Wardens

Born in the bloody civil war that rent the Weaver forces following the Schism, Gallowglass Wardens are deployed in sensitive locations to dissuade trespassers. Conditioned for ranged combat, their response is triggered by the number of seed tokens the opponent has. The more of a threat it is, the more dangerous a projectile the Warden knows to use...

A Ranged Variant of the Gallowglass Warriors, the Wardens trade some of their cousin's brutal combat efficiency for a powerful and versatile ranged attack. Able to pick what projectiles they use against each foe, they can choose either a Barrage (3), Range (14") Armor Piercing (2) Special Rule profile against heavily armored targets, or a Barrage (5), Range (16") Special Rule against weaker, more numerous foes. Their defensive profile is comparable to the Gallowglass Warriors, allowing them to close with the enemy with a confidence not shared by any other ranged combat unit in the game.

First Blood How They Play:
Hurling masses of earth and stone, the Gallowglass Wardens wreak havoc upon the battlefield. The impacts of their onslaught sprout with verdant growth, watered by the blood of all those crushed by these devastating brutes.

TLAOK How They Play:
While their Warrior brethren focus on consuming Seeds to empower themselves, the Wardens reach deep into the earth with their tendrils, hurling stone and soil into enemy formations. In doing so, they not only damage their foes but also create fertile ground where more Seeds can be sown, bloom and made use of.
