Their leader, Colonel Scafford, was a veteran of the Confederacy during the American Civil War, who turned to crime after the South fell. Fleeing West, he started a gang of ex-Confederates, thugs, and criminals, as well as his five sons. Making their hideouts up in the caves and mines around Brimstone, they have grown hideously mutated by the corrupting influence of the Dark Stone and the Void energies that pour out of every gateway opened to another world.
