WETA - The Lord of the Rings Trilogy - Skull of a Warg

WETA - The Lord of the Rings Trilogy - Skull of a Warg

The skull of a Warg is a remarkable specimen, reflecting both the predatory prowess and the evolutionary adaptations of this formidable creature.

Its elongated snout and pronounced sagittal crest suggest powerful jaw musculature, optimized for gripping and tearing. The robust dentition features prominent, conical canines and interlocking molars, indicating a carnivorous diet focused on hunting large prey.

Wide zygomatic arches provide extensive anchorage for jaw muscles, while the forward-facing eye sockets imply keen depth perception—a crucial trait for an apex predator.

Each element of the Warg’s skull underscores its role as a dominant force in its environment, honed for survival and aggression.

 Features:

• Made primarily from polystone.
• Jaw made from polyurethane.
• Based on the Orcish mounts, Wargs, as seen in The Lord of the Rings.
• Obsidian-like stand makes this skull feel like an artifact straight out of the study of Saruman.
• Physically sculpted by Wētā Workshop Senior Sculptor and Middle-earth veteran Jamie Beswarick.
